Our senior undergraduate assistant, Ian, has been recognized with a grant to fund his research! The funding is awarded by Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology students. Ian was awarded the Mamie Phipps Clark Research Grant, which provides funds for projects focused on diversity issues. Ian's proposal, entitled “Intersectional Discrimination and Alcohol Use among LGBTQ+ People of Color” was not only funded, but scored in the top 11 of applications overall.
Great work Ian!

This month, the PRISM lab’s first graduate student started her pre-doctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Devin Banks successfully matched to the Charleston Consortium at MUSC in February and started on August 1st. We were sad to see her go but are excited to see what she does next! Join us in wishing her well.
