Olivia Staples, a PRISM lab Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (IPREP) fellow, won a presentation award at the 2021 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) this past fall. Congrats, Olivia!

PRISM lab recently attended a Juneteenth event hosted by Voice Corp. Lab members had the opportunity to share Prism’s research with the community.

We are proud to share that our very own PRISM Lab graduate student, Richelle Clifton, has received the Elite 50 award this year. The annual award recognizes the top 50 graduate and professional students at IUPUI for their achievements in scholarship and service outside of the classroom. Richelle was honored at the Elite 50 Celebration online for her service to the campus and community, including her clinical work serving patients in various healthcare settings in the Indianapolis area.

It doesn’t stop there, Richelle was also honored with the Premiere 10 award, which is given to students scoring in the top 10 of applications.

PRISM lab intern, Kanila Brown, won both the 1st place and Diversity Awards for the student abstract submissions at this years 2020 IPA Fall Conference with her work, Risk and Protection: Examining the Impact of Racism, Ethnic Identity, Gender and Race on Psychological Distress Among Ethnic/Racial Minority Young Adults.

Join us in congratulating Devin Banks for being selected as one of the 2019-2020 IUPUI Chancellor’s scholars. This honor is only given to one graduate student from each academic unit during their graduating year, so Devin was selected as the top student out of all graduating graduate students in the University! As noted by the selection committee “Devin’s passion and commitment to her educational endeavors within the School of Science, contributions to the field, as well as her academic achievements make her stand apart from her peers.”
